These feeding guidelines are suggestions and may need to be adjusted depending on your individual cat’s needs.
FEEDING GUIDANCE:
When transitioning to Smallbatch, mix with your current foods for 5-7 days. If feeding dry or as a topper, always provide access to clean, fresh water. To rehydrate, simply mix ¼ cup of water for every ½ cup of meal bites.
Introducing new foods can be a unique experience for each pet. The following guidelines work well for most. Using your pet’s general wellness, age, and prior exposure to fresh foods as reference, you may adjust accordingly. Day one: replace 25% of your prior food with smallbatch for a 25/75% combination Day two: replace 50% of your prior food with smallbatch for a 50/50% combination Day three: 75/25% combination Day four: 100%! Success! Your transition period can be done over a few meals or even a few weeks depending on your pets sensitivity. Feeding smaller meals than usual at first may help. We recommend starting with our gentler, lower fat proteins like Chicken, Turkey, Rabbit, or Pork, or consider supporting with a probiotic, pumpkin fiber, or smallbatch bone broth.
